With a humble beginning in a small office in Santa Monica, we have grown to become a leading center for integrative therapy and Eastern Medicine.

Derek Plonka began with a passion for physical therapy and a desire to make a difference in people's lives. As he expanded his knowledge and experience, he recognized that something was missing in the traditional approach to patient care. Determined to find a solution, he took on a new path of learning, by immersing himself in the study of Acupuncture and Herbal medicine. Through his studies, Derek Plonka discovered that the principles and practices of traditional medicine complemented and enriched the field of physical therapy. It became clear to him that integrating acupuncture, herbal medicine, and traditional Eastern Asian philosophy into treatments, could offer a more comprehensive and effective healing experience for patients. With this realization, Insight Wellness Clinic was born.

Our unique approach combines the best of both worlds, blending the latest advancements in physical therapy with the wisdom and insights of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine.
